I think it started with school. In the mornings they play some video while the rush of kids are coming in and eating breakfast or playing. I never gave much thought to what they put on because I didn't think she really watched it but, one day at home, I put on Sesame Street and the theme song for Elmo came on. Molly was in the kitchen and sprinted into the living room and started saying "Elmo, Elmo!" I had no idea she even knew who Elmo was.
Raymond took Molly to wal-mart and they were going through the toy isle, when her little peepers spotted an Elmo doll. Raymond thought he would just let her hold it and sneak it out of the basket at check out. He bought her the Elmo because he said it made her happy.
A few months later Molly and I were at a garage sale when she found the most beautiful pair of overalls, with the biggest face of Elmo you have ever seen. Of course I got them, they made her happy and they were $0.75.
Then I got the news that Elmo was coming to town and who I am to deny such happiness?
We had really good seats and could see everything! She watched the whole thing and danced the rest of the time.
