Flat Stanley Project - Final Letter #5

Dear Shell Bell –

I am kind of sad that the Flat Stanley Project is over. I felt like we were really sharing our week with you and I miss you so it was nice to be close to you this week. In any case I am sure our days are not as eventful as some as the other Flat Stanley’s but my days consist of going to work in the mornings. Picking Molly up at school at noon and then finding things to keep Molly, a two year old girl, busy and active.

To summarize our week we started off with super nice weather that was about 75 degrees outside, so we spent the afternoons outside playing on all the toy’s Molly has. Molly is too young to really understand so one day when I was asking her to hold Flat Stanley she ripped his arm! Ouch! I put some tape on him so it was just a minor injury.

Flat Stanley spent one morning with me at work and one morning with Molly at school.

On Wednesday it started getting cold, about 43 degrees, so we had to stay inside. We played with Molly’s pretend kitchen and we watched TV. We watched The Wiggles and Sesame Street. Do you remember those shows? My guess is that you are too big for them now but Molly really likes them. Here is a picture of Molly watching TV with Flat Stanley and I think Flat Stanley is doing a hand stand!

Flat Stanley also ate dinner with us.

Friday after school we went to the pool, but the water was not warm enough so we went over to our friend’s house to play.

On Saturday morning we visited Uncle Raymond at the fire station. We left so that he could get back to work and so Molly could take a nap.

After nap we went roller skating, it was the first time for Molly and they did not have skates small enough for her but she still loved running around, listening to the music and dancing!
This is all of us at the skating rink. You can see how dark it got and the disco lights in the back. We soon worked up an appetite and went to dinner with our friends.

It was an action packed day for us. Sunday we took it a little bit slower, Uncle Raymond came home from work and we had a big breakfast and we just played and hung out in the morning. After Molly took her nap we tried to pool again, it was much warmer and we got to swim for about an hour. I did not take my camera in the pool area but afterwards we had some popcorn and took a break and that is when I took this picture:

So, now today is Monday and Molly has to go to the doctor’s so I can’t imagine we will be doing much of anything else (she is getting tubes put in her ears, yuck!). I am so glad you picked me to be a part of this project and the only thing that would have made it better is if you were here to do all of it with us! We miss you terribly and can’t wait to see you.

Love Always, Uncle Raymond, Aunt Tracy and Molly
