House

We purchased our house in 2006 with the thoughts that we were going to fix it up and flip it. Hee hee.

So now we are at the point that we are fixing our original fixes. You know the mistakes we make because it looks like we will be here for awhile. We are fixing things like the white tile we put down in the kitchen, putting a better color of paint up, fixing doors etc. etc.

I have NO taste so everything is just a work in progress and hope it all just turns out. The one thing I am super proud of and I just HAVE to share here is the backyard renovation.

When we moved it there were a bi zillion shrubs and 8 trees in our backyard that is super small. So no grass would grow just weeds and some type of ground covering. We know this because we tried putting down sod and varies variety's of grass seed. You could not play out there at all and all kinds of critters lived out there, to include a tri zillion amount of birds (I have a thing about birds).

Last year we cut out all the shrubs and cut down four trees. This year we had a porch put in and sod. Holy Cow...it looks so good. I think it probably just looks good because the grass took and it is so green. We play out here often because you don't have to worry about Molly running out into the street, we can play with the dog and Molly can play naked. Win - Win for everyone.

ACM

I am always looking for something cheap or even better FREE for me and Molly to do. I follow the Austin Children's Museum on face book and discovered that this week was half off admission. They do that from time to time when they are tearing down a big display and putting a new one up. I think Molly is still young enough that she doesn't even notice and there is still plenty for us to do.
I just because I think you don't believe me here are some pictures.

We played in the chicken coop,

then onto the dairy farm.

Next we played with a massive train system

and then she cooked me a meal.

All in the day and life of Molly B.

Zoo Time

We went to the Austin Zoo one afternoon and I won't bore you with our animal feeding pictures and of animals through the fence pictures but I had to share this story.

I love taking pictures of us putting our heads through the holes of the wooden cut out things. It is hilarious to me for whatever reason. Usually Raymond can hold her head up through the hole and I can snap away. This time I had to count on Molly to put her head in the hole and stay there long enough for me to take at least one picture.

Apparently this is way toooo much to ask of one very busy two year old. Imagine the conversation if you will.

"No, Molly go around the back, so Mommy can take your picture"

"Okay better, now lift up on your tippy toes and look for mommy"

"No, don't through dirt through the hole, put your head through the hole"

" Molly, Molly, Molly, Molly, look at Mommy though the hole. Molly, Molly Peek-a-Boo, Molly, Molly, where's mommy? MOLLY, MOLLY, M-O-L-L-Y!"

Molly: "all done"

Woobie

Molly has had a woobie for awhile. She doesn't say woobie though, to her it is her "woo woo". Whenever she sees it, her thumb goes straight in her mouth. It does not matter the time of day or what she is doing, the thumb goes in and then she snuggles the woo woo.

As a matter of fact, it doesn't even have to be her woo woo. If she sees another kid with a woobie, Molly will start sucking her thumb!

I never thought what it might do to Molly if she saw her woo woo on the clothes line.

I had to take it down or she would have stayed out there all day. I put it in the dryer and put it up until nap time.
